La platica (A heart to heart counsel)

La platica is the foundation of every session. It is here where the client speaks from the deepest part of their hearts and a Curandera listens with her ears and her heart. It is an opportunity to speak openly and honestly, no matter how painful or embarrassing they may feel their circumstances to be. We talk about what’s going on in their life, in their body and in their mind. In la platica, we set an intention for the service following. La Platica is a heart to heart and we share together over hot tea in a safe and loving space with Spirit. I’m always amazed by how much energy moves in la platicas. I love this time with my client.

EGG LIMPIA $150.00 ・ 2 hr

Limpias are my most favorite thing to do in my healing practice. I have seen great magic with limpias. I like to use an egg in my limpias.

The egg is a large cell. It gives positive energy while taking away negative energy. The egg is rubbed all over the body from head to toe, absorbing all that which is not serving the client. As an intuitive, I feel where the body is holding energy that needs to be cleared and will hold the egg over that place while encouraging the client to breathe with strength. Massive amounts of energy move in these limpias. Every limpia is personal and every limpia is one on one.

We begin each limpia by calling on the four directions and offering them a prayer. We call upon grandfather Sky and Tonantzin. Aztecs and present day Nahuas, refer to Tonantzin as the Aztec Mother Goddess. Otherwise known as Mother Earth. Catholics know her as The Virgin Mary and Our Lady of Guadalupe. We will burn sacred copal. We will stand upon soft and warm sheepskins with rattles and drum. I will call upon my spirit helpers as well as yours and ask your permission to give la limpia. Together we will make our intention and from that point on it is you and Spirit doing the healing. I am only a bridge. It is important for you to know that so that any emotions you are feeling, you know are your own and can work on clearing them.

After the egg has absorbed all your body has to offer, you are smudged with more copal and your joints are sprayed with Agua de Florida which wakes up the nervous system along with lifting your vibration and cleansing your auric field. Agua de Florida is a spirit water used by Shamans in South America. It is advised to bring shorts and a tank top to wear for la limpia so that the spirit water can reach your joints and places on your stomach and back.

After la limpia, I will crack open the egg into a glass of purified water and read the egg. The egg will tell me a story of your body. It is sometimes necessary for some clients to have up to three limpias in a row; considering the case. In this regard, I offer a discount. I will not know whether you need multiple limpias until I crack the egg open and read it.

It is best to not schedule anything after la limpias. I recommend taking the rest of the day easy and being gentle with yourself. You will feel lighter after. You may need a siesta. You may feel tender. You may feel hungry. You also may feel incredibly strong. Either way, nourish your body with clean food and rest. The next morning you will awaken feeling even more refreshed, lighter and happier.

Limpias are incredibly important for expectant mothers. They are especially important for first time mothers. We do not want the baby to take on any of the fears of the mother. In fact, it is advised that a mother with child have at least three limpias in their pregnancy.

LAS ROSAS LIMPIAS  $150.00 ・ 1 hr 30 min

Did you know that the rose is the highest vibrational flower? In las rosas limpia, I use dozens of roses and candles along with songs and prayers for your spiritual cleansing. We start by drinking organic rose tea in la platica so that you start building a bond with las rosas and are always in communication with the them. After calling on the four directions, Grandfather Sky and Tonanztin, giving a prayer of offering and setting our intention for la limpia, you will be sprayed with rose water and las rosas will be starting their work as we start to smooth out your auric field. You with then lay down more prayers with candles and different color roses (each color symbolizing something of its own) and fall softly onto a bed of soft sheepskins; surrounded by roses and candlelight with the aroma of sweet roses in the air and the taste of roses as well. This limpia is stunningly beautiful. It is soft and slow. It feels like being held in the arms of the Divine Mother.

This limpia is great for those grieving, for PTSD survivors and generally for those feeling alone, sad, and depressed.

A Curandera brings the best of herself into this limpia, with pure thoughts and intentions. We believe that negative talk remains imprinted upon the luminous body, affecting our physical, mental and emotional state. We work on this for the week following la limpia by asking you to continue working with las rosas. You leave la limpia with all the roses we worked with. They are to be put by your bedside until they dry. You are asked to talk to the roses while working with tenderness for your body with purity of words and with purity of thoughts.

This limpia is short and sweet. It does not include a divination or counseling session as the other does.

Reiki is a Japanese healing technique based on the principle that the therapist can channel energy into the client by means of touch, to activate the natural processes of the client’s body and restore physical and emotional well-being; while channeling Universal Life Energy. This session is extremely relaxing. I use soft meditative music, singing bowls and bells. I am a certified reiki practitioner. I love weaving reiki in with my other healing modalities.

$90 for an hour and $120 for 90 minutes.

I like to incorporate shamanic practices into The Bars. For example: We will journey together and trace back to when and why and the first time you recall having pain or hurt. We go back to those emotions to reassure you that these old ways of coping can only be changed when we acknowledge them and then we grow into our new way of coping.

The Bars are extremely relaxing. I had my Bars run weekly for an entire year when I was healing from Lyme Disease. I personally can attest to astounding results from the Bars and have witnessed incredible growth and rebirth.

The Bars are an hour session. You are laying comfortably on a warm massage table with soft meditative music playing in the background. There is only light touching of your temples and around the head and crown chakra.

I find that teens respond exponentially well with having The Bars run.

My journey has not been an easy one. I am told that this is a path less traveled and the path of a wounded healer and I am asked to walk it boldly. I am told that I must experience pain and suffering so that I can have true compassion and empathy for my clients. I have learned that this path can be messy, awkward and lonely at times.
Much like giving birth. There can be a feeling and sense of loss but the deep love, joy and peace found within is a gain that can never be taken away.

Hold true. Be patient with yourselves. We are human and it is in our nature to make mistakes.
That is part of learning and part of soul growth. Keep doing the deep inner work. When we heal a part of ourselves,
